BattleBots
In 2007 the Robotics Club had two robots compete at the annual Battlebots IQ competition held in Miami. Out of 11 other competing college robots, the Revenant came in 2nd place overall in it's last year at CMU. The Revenant fought for 6 rounds and was undefeated until its 4th match against a wedge bot from Missouri, which it lost to again in the finals. The 15-pound robot, Shoryuken, won its first fight without its weapon but lost the next two due resolved bugs. With the knowledge they gained from the competition, the 15-pound team looks forward to having a very competitive robot next year.
