At the Robotics Club we currently have two Robots which represent the spirit of the club. These two robots include our current Mascot Red Robot and Hexabot.
Red Robot is the Mascot of the club and is used to show club spirit at competitions and other events in which the Robotics Club is participating. Built from a cardboard box that an officer wears with an old push button on the front and two wiggly antennas on the top, Red Robot represents creativeness of the club and effort to add a bit of humor to the world of robotics.
This year for the Mascot Bots project we plan to upgrade Red Robot to be more entertaining and flashy to everyone who sees it when we bring it out for competitions and other events. Meetings will be held weekly to work on Red Robot to make it more comfortable for an officer to wear and more entertaining to kids who see it.
Hexabot is a new addition to our Mascot Bots. It is a six legged walking chair and robotic platform. Currently it serves as an awesome heavy duty walking machine which draws endless attention from people passing by and to all who see it. This year we plan to upgrade the hexabot platform to contatin on onboard navigations computer and more power controller system so that it can become an open development platform for future Robo Clubbers. Meetings will also be held weekly for Hexabot.
